Angel has been a member of the Richard Joseph team for almost 4 years. She is a master cosmetologist specializing in haircolor, haircutting, upstyles and make-up. She completed the apprenticeship program at Richard Joseph Salon Spa at English Village in 2008, and currently presides in our Inverness Village location. She has in-depth training with Aveda for the latest trends for color and cutting techniques. Her work has been featured in Portico, Birmingham magazine, and has been seen in Portico Bridal shows. Angel welcomes new clients to show all the many talents she has to offer. She looks forward to many more years with RJSS.

Michele Neely
Master Stylist/Colorist
Michele joined Richard Joseph Salon Spa in 2010; bringing 20 plus years of expertise with her. Michele has trained with celebrity stylists across the nation and is an award winning color artist, with the experience needed to correct or perfect anyone's hair color. Michele has extensive training in pivot point, Vidal Sassoon, and American crew hair sculpting techniques. Michele has been highly influenced by a vast international guest list, ranging from Paris to Tokyo. She has been compared to top stylists around the world. |

Alison Berryhill - Inverness Village
Stylist
Alison joined Richard Joseph in 2008 as an apprentice at our English Village location where she received training in hair cutting and color. She has a strong background with Aveda products and continues to attend educational classes to learn the latest trends in cuts and color for any age. Alison is now located at our Inverness Village location and looks forward to giving each guest the haircut or color desired to suit their everyday needs.

Susan Egas

Susan Egas graduated from Paul Mitchell, The School of Atlanta in 2007 as a Master Cosmetologist. She has worked as an independent hairstylist for more than 4 years while continuing her education in the latest techniques for color, cutting, and styles. Her accomplishments and interests include: her two amazing children, Annie and Owen; becoming a Scuba Divemaster; and exhibiting her freelance artwork. It is through her artistic ability and creativity that allows her to create a unique and personalized look for each client. |

Michael Helms
Stylist
Michael joins the Richard Joseph team with extensive experience in the beauty industry. Having worked with a variety of product lines, including Aveda, Schwartzkopf, Bumble and bumble, and Keratin Complex, he can offer a dynamic perspective for the needs of your hair. Michael has a particular interest in texture services, offering everything from simple relaxers to Keratin smoothing treatments and Aveda permanent retexturizers. |

Daryl Walker
Stylist
Daryl studied biomedical sciences at Auburn University before attending Aveda Institute Birmingham. She trained in Classes with Michael Baker, and James Ryder Make-up Labs.
Her work experience includes the much-lauded William Edge Salon in Texas.

Kelsey Jones - Inverness Village
Apprentice
After graduating from UAB with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and working for a dermatology clinic, Kelsey Jones has joined the Richard Joseph team and is well on her way to becoming a world class stylist. As she completes her apprenticeship, Jones is receiving extensive training in the latest Aveda hair color and cutting trends. She promises to show each guest her artistry with creative color and cuts, customized to fit whoever sits in her chair.

Brent Scrivner - English Village & Inverness Village
Massage Therapist
Brent Scrivner joined the Richard Joseph team in 2010. He attended The Birmingham School of Massage where he received his certification in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Hot Stone Massage. Brent also received a teaching certification from Birmingham Yoga and teaches at Birmingham Yoga Studio as well as the local Gold’s Gym clubs. Brent uses his combined training to create a massage experience that incorporates breathing, stretching, and a focused uninterrupted flow whether you need relaxation or relief from pain and tension.

Erica Burns - Inverness Village
Esthetician
Erica attended Aveda institute Birmingham and studied esthiology. She is certified in chemical peels and microdermabrasion with experience in a medical spa setting. Her passion in this industry began with makeup and led to skin care. The key to a great makeup application is to start with a healthy and cleansed face. Erica also enjoys music and like to take her dog to the park whenever it's a beautiful day outside.

Jeremy Arthur
Business Administrator
Jeremy joins the Richard Joseph team with an extensive background in music performance. When he's not helping you find that perfect appointment, Jeremy is moonlighting as an orchestral bassoonist or singing in a choir. He is currently vice president of the Red Mountain Chamber Orchestra of which he has been a member for ten years. Jeremy lets his creative side show at Richard Joseph with his writing for the salonspa's monthly editorial, "Trendspotting," in Birmingham Magazine. Jeremy's primary concern at Richard Joseph is to ensure that every guest receives the best possible experience our team can provide.
